On 25 October 2001, the DC Chapter of the Chief Petty Officers Association held a fundraiser in support of USCG Flags Across America (FAA). Coast Guard Standards (flags) were sold and donations graciously accepted to raise funds to procure flags for the approximately 300 Coast Guard Veterans buried at Arlington National Cemetery. There was a rousing turnout and USCG Flags Across America raised $560.00 with promises of more donations to come. The DC Chapter of the CPOA would like to thank all those who purchased the flags and to recognize those folks who donated:
